Jr. Princess

The riding club that the kids are in has a princess contest every year it is split up into 2 age groups 6-10 & 11-15. The girls have to ride their horses in a reining pattern and give a 2 minute speech. They are judged on they way they sit the horse and if they do the pattern correctly, how well they and the horse are groomed, their speech and they ask them a question which is to name the part of the horse.
Little Audrey worked hard and practiced her riding pattern. She memorized her poem and learned all the parts of the horse.
I was so proud of how well she gave her poem she did better than even the big girls. She won YEAH!!!!!!!

Our Little Bit & Spur Jr Pincess

Now she will get to ride in the 4th of July parade and in the grand entry at the rodeo that night.

I have debated asking her to do this for me everyday, I think she has a nack for it ;)

Disneyland & Sea World

We were lucky to be able to take a trip over the first week of February to California, it was wonderful to get out of the cold Utah weather for a week and have some fun. We went with the Broderick's, Beecher's and Sagers. It was awesome.

The two most handsome men (well in my eye's)
I think little Jo's legs were painted on because we had to carry her everywhere
Last time we came Audrey was so brave and rode everything, this year she was much more timid and it took lots of coaxing to get her to go on the bigger rides but most of the time she would go.

Wylers liked Mickey and tried to eat his nose
We tried to watch the color of light show in California adventures but Haylee fell asleep in my arms so we went back to the hotel. Man she was out cold. She sleep with her eyes cracked open a little, she has since birth. CREEPY!
Haylee was so cute she wore her sunglasses the whole first day and wouldn't take them off.
The Queen of hearts was actually a man just a side note that I thought might interest you, it did me. He/she even made men kiss her hands.
These two will be good friend soon
My Sis & Bro in-law Rhett and Janice and there adorable family. We love to vacation with them our kids are close in age and they play so well together. Dean and I play well with Rhett & Jan too ;)
I think this might just be my favorite picture of the whole trip. Jamie did NOT want to go on this ride and I made her. She was screaming so hard that Janice and I barely even noticed that the ride was scary because we were laughing so hard at Jamiers. She is not a fan of the Tower of Terror.

This was our Princess day all of our little princess dressed up to have there pictures taken with some "real" princesses.
My beautiful Aurora and Tiana, the girls made us call them by these names all day and wouldn't answer if we called them by anything else.
I really loved this day because all over the park people were commenting on how cute they were, we even had people stopping them to take their picture
They are pretty darn cute aren't they!!!
Our last day in California was spent at Sea World it was fun the kids liked watching all of the shows. The whole time we were there I kept thinking of how fun it must be to be a trainer to those amazing animals. I didn't do very well at getting a lot of pictures here though
Haylee done gave out on us, she said her legs would not work anymore. Which I couldn't understand since it seemed like we packed her everywhere.
This is the cute Sagers family we have lots of fun with these guys. We wish that they lived closer so we could hang out with them more often. But we will take it where we can get it. We are so glad that could come.
My sister's family Jamie & Matt and Thomas. They are also our vacation buddies. Actually come to think of it we do pretty much everything with these guys. Hmm we must love them. I just wish Lacey and her family could have been here too.
Our last photo of the trip :(
We had such a wonderful time to say the very least. When we came home I went into depression for a few days. It was hard for me to want to get back into the routine of everyday life. But of course life got busy again and I had to get on with things. I cant wait for our next trip.

Happy Birthday Little Bugger

I know I haven't posted in FOREVER I really just haven't had the motivation too. But how could I not post about my boys special day.
We had a low key party for him with hamburgers and cake.
He actually really liked opening his presents
and of course he liked the cake although he did not do this to himself. Uncle Kris helped him out a lot.

It has been a great year having him with us, he has been my easiest most content baby. He makes me smile everyday. I love him SOOOO MUCH!!! and I feel so blessed and grateful to have such a sweet little boy to love.

Squaws

This weekend was Erda Days and of course there was a parade. Audrey already had an Indian dress I made her for Halloween 2 years ago but Haylee needed one so on Thursday night I whipped her up one.
We painted the ponies and my little squaws got to ride in the parade.

How cute is that ^

I suspect Audrey may have been a Indian in a former life

My Girl

Audrey often sneaks my camera when I am not paying attention. So the next time I go to use it I get to find fun pictures like these. She is such a good girl and brings me such joy in life.

Sometimes I think back in time to my pre-children days when it was so much easier to keep the house clean and run errands or just spend time on me and what I wanted to do and I get a twinge of longing for that. But then I have little moments like these where I am reminded of what great blessing these sweet little individuals are and how lonely and empty my life would be without them.

Camping Fun

We had a fun camping trip up big cottonwood with the Alder family and of course it was great to spend time with everyone.

Aunt Mindy painted the kids faces and Aunt Janice painted fingernails. Even little Wylie got in on the fun much to his dismay.

I didn't get pictures of the fun games that Mindy had planned for the family but it was a blast.

We got back from the Alder camp out on Saturday and decided to pull the trailer out to clover creek and camp one more night. I knew my nephew Lance and Haylee were in the back of the truck playing but I forgot the fishing poles were back there. When I walked by Hay J said "Lance did it" and Lance immediately said "I'm sorry" it struck me funny and I couldn't get mad. But I was relieved that the fish hook didn't end up in an eye.

It was fun to get away for the weekend and spend some much needed family time.
